Brian Vasel
Field Operations Manager, NOAA,
Brian Vasel is a CU-Boulder graduate who has been with the NOAA Earth System Research Laboratory for the last decade. He spent two years living/working at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, Antarctica, as the NOAA instrument technician. After returning from the ice, he spent three years developing the Tropospheric ozone aircraft program for NOAA/ESRL. Today, Brian is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the Global Monitoring Division's baseline observatory network, comprising five year-round, staffed observatories. Brian is a member of AGU, the NOAA Green Team and was recently accepted into the year-long NOAA Leadership Effectiveness and Advancement program.
All talks are free and open to all students.
