Adapting to Climate Change: How Television News Directors and Weathercasters Report the Science

Kristopher Wilson, School of Journalism, University of Texas at Austin

Environmental problems are interdisciplinary by nature. They jump fences. They cross boundaries. They don’t respect borders. So what happens when you mix three scholars from different backgrounds and ask them to comment on one topic?

Commentators:
Mike Nelson, Chief Meteorologist Channel 7 News, Denver
Kelsey Cody, M.S. Candicate, Environmental Studies

Refreshments starting at 4:00 p.m. Talks/panels begin at 4:30 p.m.

Free and open to the public. Undergraduates welcome!
