Rita Klees, Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering
Dr. Rita Klees is retired from the World Bank as a Senior Environmental Specialist. She was also a Science, Engineering and Diplomacy Fellow for the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) as an environmental specialist overseas. She continues to consult with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). She would say most of her experience is in international development, with emphasis on biodiversity conservation, water supply and sanitation, water resource management, and environmental policy. Dr. Klees received her PhD from CU-Boulder in 1991, and is currently Adjunct Professor at CU-Boulder in Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering, and a Faculty Associate of the Environmental Studies Program.
