A reminder that the campus will be closed on Friday, April 20 to all visitors and non-affiliates. You will need your Buff OneCard to gain entry to the campus.
The Norlin Quad lawn areas will be closed to all people regardless of campus affiliation on April 20 (some sidewalks in the Quad area will be open to permit passage through the area to get to academic buildings). Any individual who enters the lawn areas of Norlin Quad will be ticketed for trespassing. Closure signage will be clearly displayed in this area.
Classes and all regular academic activities will go on as scheduled, but again, you will need your Buff OneCard to gain admittance to campus that day.
Also, be advised that the general campus will be closed to non-affiliates. From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 20, those who are participants in academic meetings, symposia, conferences, performances or other officially sanctioned activities can gain limited access to campus via special guest registration. After 6 p.m., no special access to the campus is required, though visitors should be advised that traffic getting into and out of the campus is likely to be heavy.
Please register for this service by going online and clicking the link to the right that reads "Campus Visitor Access." Visitor registration will end at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18. Once approved for a visitor pass, visitors should check in on the south entrance of the CU-Boulder East Campus Administrative and Research Center at 3100 Marine Street from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 20. Shuttle service will bring visitors to campus from 7:15 a.m. to 8 p.m.
We understand these measures represent sacrifices and different protocols than you are used to. We are taking these measures and others to try to end the disruptive and unwanted 4/20 event on the campus, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation.
