William Ulfelder, Director, Eastern Colorado Program, The Nature Conservancy

Bill Ulfelder has held a variety of positions for the Nature Conservancy since 1995. His recent successes in Colorado include reaching the Conservancy’s goal to conserve 500,000 acres of grasslands by 2012, and completing the 50,000 acre Smith Ranch deal. He also coordinates the Shortgrass Prairie Partnership. Previously he has worked for the Conservancy in Arizona, Virginia, and Quito Ecuador. Prior experience includes working as Forestry and Community Development Researcher for PROSILPA in Huehuetenango, Guatemala, and working in Panama City, Panama on a Fulbright Scholarship.
