You must complete 36 graduate credit hours including a 2-credit Internship for which a substantial internship report is written

Required Credit Hours
The degree requires completion of 36 credit hours as follows: 9 hours of a common core focused on science, policy and philosophy; 9-15 hours of a secondary core focused on developing substantive and methodological expertise; and 12-18 hours of electives chosen to broaden and deepen the graduate training.
Internship
The student who decides to complete the 36 credit hours necessary for the MS degree without a thesis must complete a two-credit internship with a faculty sponsor. See the Internship page
Required Forms
Students who opt for this plan must be sure to complete a Master’s Course Plan Approval form in addition to the Candidacy Application by the posted Graduate School deadline. This form is available in the ENVS Graduate Office and requires the signatures of the student’s advisor, graduate director and department chairman. A copy must be filed with the Graduate Coordinator
