Sarah began her M.S. in Environmental Studies in Fall 2010, with a focus on Policy. Sarah is interested in pursuing a career with either a federal land management agency or private land trust or conservation NGO that seeks to protect the natural resources of the Western U.S. She currently works as a natural resource technician for the National Park Service Denver Service Center (DSC), and hopes to pursue similar avenues upon graduation.
Prior to graduate school, Sarah graduated with distinction from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, with a two B.S. degrees in Environmental Science and Geography. She has worked, volunteered or interned for the U.S. Geological Survey, The Nature Conservancy, the Student Conservation Association, the Aspen Ski Company, and as a horticulturalist for the Town of Basalt. Sarah’s research as a National Science Foundation scholar at Colorado State University was recently published in the North American Journal of Aquaculture.
