Emily is pursuing a MBA/MS dual degree in the Leeds School of Business and the Environmental Studies program. Emily is interested in developing and implementing business strategies that merge social purpose, environmental conservation, and profitability. She is particularly interested in renewable energy, corporate social responsibility, and in exploring what motivates people to conserve resources. During graduate school, Emily has worked for REpower USA, Cleargreen Advisors, the CleanTech Open, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
Prior to graduate school, Emily worked for five years at The Trust for Public Land in St. Paul, Minnesota, brokering and assisting in land conservation real estate transactions that have permanently protected over 75,000 acres. Emily has also led numerous wilderness trips and taught English on La Réunion, a French island near Madagascar. Emily graduated with distinction from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota in 2003 with a degree in French and Francophone Studies and a minor in Environment and Technology Studies.
