As an Ecologist for Air Resources Division, Colleen works in the context of both science and policy, analyzing, interpreting and communicating the environmental effects of air pollution in the national parks. Her work focuses on the effects of atmospheric deposition of toxic air pollutants, communicating results, facilitating research and coordinating collaborative efforts. She also is involved with acidic deposition effects projects, particularly along the Appalachian Trail, ozone effects research at Rocky Mountain National Park, and the compilation of air quality and effects information for 48 Class I parks and 32 ecoregional networks. She received a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin—Madison and an M.S. in Environmental Studies and Hydrologic Sciences from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
