More Info
Emily graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2009 with a BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. At CU, her focus is in biogeoscience. She enjoys the interdisciplinary nature of the field and is excited to begin her graduate work. Emily is primarily interested in chemical and physical interactions between vegetation and the atmosphere. Specifically, her primary interests are the movements of carbon dioxide, water, and heat under stressful environmental conditions, due to photosynthesis, respiration, and microbial processes. She intends to study these processes in a sub-alpine environment at CU’s Niwot Ridge field site.
