More Info

Mike studies climate policy, with an emphasis on communicating climate science and societal understandings of (and approaches to) climate change. In addition to being an M.S. student in the Environmental Studies program, Mike works full time as a Legislative Specialist in the Office of Government Affairs of the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) in Boulder. At UCAR, Mike's job is to advocate for the atmospheric sciences community and educate policymakers and other opinion leaders about climate science. In 2007-2009, Mike worked in D.C. as a legislative aide on environmental and energy issues in the office of U.S. Senator Benjamin Cardin. He graduated from Williams College in 2004 with a B.A. in Political Science. Mike's happiest and most at peace when he's away from civilization and ensconced in nature.
