More Info

After receiving an undergraduate degree in Engineering & Environmental Science from Notre Dame, Anne worked for several years for an engineering company in Denver on cleaning-up hazardous waste sites and a year at Space Imaging as a quality assurance engineer. During that time, she received an M.S. in Environmental Science and Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. She originally started at CU in the Program in Atmospheric and Oceanic Science, but switched into Environmental Studies after receiving her master's degree. Her research interests include large-scale land-water interactions on the North Slope of Alaska and integrating the knowledge of these interactions into land use decisions (particularly in terms of oil and gas development). She is also interested in how observations of current arctic climate change and future predictions can be utilized in environmental impact assessments on the North Slope.
