Rebecca Johnson is a PhD student in the Environmental Studies program with an emphasis on domestic renewable energy policy. She works closely with the CIRES Center for Science and Technology Policy Research at CU, the University’s Deming Center for Entrepreneurship, and the University’s Graduate Studies Program to identify, evaluate, and communicate business-related energy issues and opportunities.
Rebecca holds an MS in business and an MBA. Her interest is in renewable energy and energy efficiency. Her focus is to work at the intersection of business, policy, and engineering to support the development and implementation of public and private policies which maximize the leverage of combined governmental and market forces to drive the necessary evolution to sustainable energy practices.
With over seventeen years of business experience, she has worked in finance, marketing, consulting, and management. Her goal is to use her academic and professional experience to facilitate interdisciplinary energy-related knowledge sharing.
