Jessica Lowrey currently is a law student at CU, class of 2012. Upon graduation, she will pursue a career in water law and environmental policy.

From 2004 - 2009, Jessica worked for the NOAA/CU Western Water Assessment analyzing the annual and long-term policies, and the potential use of climate information forecasts of municipal water providers in the Intermountain West. She provided guidance to regional water managers on impacts of and adaptation to climate change and developed ways for NOAA to produce more useful climate products and services. Finally, she was the editor and project manager of the Intermountain West Climate Summary, a monthly publication that reviews scientific research and communicates complex climate information for state and local water managers. Jessica is the first author on an upcoming research article in the Journal of Climate Research, which is titled, "Factors Influencing the Use of Climate Information by Colorado Municipal Water Managers."

Jessica received her MS in Environmental Studies in 2004 where she focused her research on environmental and water policy issues in the West. She worked for the Center for Science and Technology Policy Research and her Master's Thesis is titled, "Connecting Science and Policy: Lessons Learned from 32 Science-Policy Assessments."
