Matt Reisman is a dual degree student whose studies are focused on innovation, entrepreneurship and commercialization in clean technologies. In addition to pursuing a Masters in Environmental Studies and an MBA, he is enrolled in the Graduate Energy Certificate Program offered by RASEI. Upon graduation from the University of Colorado, Matt’s goal is to work for an organization where he has the opportunity to aid in the transition of clean technologies from lab to market.
Before coming to the University of Colorado, Matt earned a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with a focus on pre-veterinary medicine from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. After completing his undergraduate studies he worked in various entrepreneurial and environmental roles including co-founder of a sustainable apparel venture and director of education for an environmental education and wildlife rehabilitation non-profit organization.
As a student at the University of Colorado, Matt has been the Treasurer of CU Energy, and the president of the Graduate Entrepreneurs Association (GEA). He has interned with NREL as well as RASEI where he performed market research and analysis of various clean technologies. Currently, he is the MBA Student Fellow for Access Venture Partners for the 2011-2012 school year and is also working for CU Cleantech , an organization that was launched in 2011 with the mission of building upon the University’s cleantech and renewable energy research and commercialization capabilities.
