Julie’s secondary core area was environmental social science/ natural resource management in the American West. She focused on the policy, law, and science of Western water, land, and wildlife issues. Prior to graduate school, Julie earned BA's in geosciences and English from Williams College in 2003, then worked for a nonprofit environmental education organization in Eagle County, CO. After graduation, Julie also was honored by being selected as a Presidential Management Program Fellow finalist. Since April 2008, Julie has worked at The Keystone Center for Science and Public Policy as a facilitator for environment, energy, and health policy dialogues and public/stakeholder engagement. Recent project topics include sustainability in agriculture, forestry, and mining; healthcare-associated infections, and H1N1 vaccination planning.
