More Info

Celene graduated in 2008 with a dual degree (JD/MS) and an ENVS focus in biogeoscience. She received her Arizona state bar license in 2008 and worked as a lawyer in the law firm of Snell & Wilmer in Phoenix, Arizona. Her work was split between civil litigation, environmental law, water law, and federal Indian law. In 2009 Celene accepted a position as Associate General Counsel with the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe (in southwestern Colorado), and in 2011 received her Colorado bar license. As a staff attorney for the Tribe, her work is quite varied, but she spends a significant amount of time working on water, renewable energy development, environmental, cultural resource preservation, and natural resource issues.

In her current position, Celene has worked with ENVS students affiliated with CU Law School and is open to receiving questions from current and prospective ENVS students.
