Zach is pursuing the dual MBA and MS in Environmental Studies degrees. Generally, he is interested in the how businesses make environmental choices. Post graduation, Zach plans to rejoin the private sector in the land conservation world. Ideally, he'll end up back in the Northern Rockies. Believing economics (for better-or-worse) typically trumps many decision makers' personal philosophies, Zach is anxious to find market-driven solutions to environmental problems.

Land and watershed conservation is messy stuff. Finding shared values between conservationists, ranchers, policy makers, scientists, municipalities, and developers takes creative, solution-driven energy. While these separate stakeholders often compete for the same resources, Zach believes opportunities exist for better collaboration. Zach is the recipient of the Slifer Real Estate Scholarship. He holds a BA from Vanderbilt University.
