IPCC AR6 Working Group III

The final installment of the IPCC AR6 report on climate and climate science from Working Group III was finalized on April 4, 2022. One of the contributors to the report was ENVS Chair and Professor, Max Boykoff. "The Working Group III report provides an updated global assessment of climate change mitigation progress and pledges, and examines the sources of global emissions. It explains developments in emission reduction and mitigation efforts, assessing the impact of national climate pledges in relation to long-term emissions goals." The full Working Group III report and summaries can be found here, along with the reports and summaries from Working Group I (physical science), and Working Group II (adaptation strategies) of the IPCC AR6 Report.

The article, "Report highlights affordable, available ways to mitigate climate change now", by Kelsey Simpkins in CU Boulder Today discusses the AR6 installment, and features an interview with Professor Boykoff.

A story from The Westminster Window published in March discusses Professor Boykoff's and other local expert contributions, whcih can be found here. The article also discusses how the expected effects of climate change will be felt in Colorado communities.
