Student Hourly
ENVS hires student hourly employees throughout the year for a variety of purposes that range from administrative support to research duties. Key responsibilities and hiring ranges follow the Office of Student Employment policy as stated on CU Boulder's Student Employment webpage. If you are a CU student and interested in working with a specific faculty member, please view their Faculty Profile for available positions or reach out to them directly about upcoming opportunities. Lecturers
ENVS hires temporary faculty in the Lecturer job code (1419) when a regularly assigned faculty member is on sabbatical or other leave. Key responsibilities will be teaching in person, online, or a combination thereof. The College of Arts and Sciences Level C policy, as stated here, determines compensation for ENVS Lecturers. If you are interested in lecturing for ENVS, contact Edward Martinez including a copy of your cv/resume, and indicate which ENVS course(s) you would like to be considered for.
Class Graders
During the academic year, ENVS hires students as Graders when a regularly assigned faculty member petitions the program for grader support and receives funding approval. We require that you have taken the course, or an equivalent, in order to grade for the intended course. Grader pay ranges from $15-20 per hour, approximately 2-6 hours per week, and the estimated total number of hours per week are determined by the faculty lead for that course (currently ranging between 20 and 150 hours for the semester). As such, total compensation varies between courses according to the total hours anticipated.
