Biography

Born and raised in Mexico, Fernando Briones is a social anthropologist. He has been a researcher and consultant in Mexico and the United States. His work focuses on disaster risk reduction, the understanding of risk perception, social vulnerability, resilience, indigenous knowledge and the applicability of public policies on climate change adaptation. His publications have been developed with research in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Central America and the Caribbean Islands
